Cllr Rick Webzell
Mirfield old bank and local area neighbourhood Forum has now been up and running for almost two years. The Forum group has achieved success within the community working along side local police, Kirklees Highways, councillors and residents in the Mirfield moor area. The group is now in a strong position, therefore; I have now decided the time is right to stand down from the Forum group and give other people a chance to join the committee.
If any local residents are interested in the welfare of your own area or a position on the Forum, Please attend the next meeting at, St Andrews Church meeting room on wednesday 24th of February at 6.30 pm.

Cllr James Taylor
KIRKLEES ARE SAYING ON THEIR WEB SITE THEY ARE ONLY DEALING WITH MAJOR ROADS ACROSS THE AREA IN TERMS OF GRITTING AND ON LOOK NORTH THIS WAS ALSO SAID TONIGHT.
KIRKLEES ARE ALSO SAYING ON THEIR WEB SITE PUT YOUR BIN OUT WHEN IT SHOULD BE EMPTIED AND KEEP PRESENTING IT, BUT THEY WILL EMPTY YOUR GREEN BIN IF NOT COLLECTED WHEN YOUR GREY BIN IS DUE AND DO IT ALL IN ONE JOB LOT!
I KNOW MANY RESIDENTS ARE ANNOYED BY ESTATE ROADS/CUL-DE-SACS NOT BEEN GRITTED AS AM I. I HAVE NOW BEEN LIVING ON A NORTH FACING CUL-DE-SAC THAT HAS HAD ICE FROM 18TH DECEMBER ON MY ROAD.
I SIMPLY ASK (WITHOUT TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO SUCK EGGS) TO TAKE EXTREME CARE WHEN VENTURING OUT AND ONCE WE KNOW THERE IS MORE GRIT AVAILABLE WE WILL TRY OUR BEST THROUGH KMC AS TOWN CLLRS TO GET THE AREAS CLEARED.
TRY kirklees.gov.uk/gritting FOR FURTHER INFO
