Biography

I have been a member of the Town Council for over 11 years and in that time have held most of the offices on Council.

I am very interested in environmental matters and have been involved in campaigns to prevent a waste transfer station being built, the loss of recreation grounds to industry and for a number of years I am fighting against the ludicrous idea of turning Mirfield moor into an industrial estate.

I brought forward the idea of the Mirfield matters survey, which was a great success from the returns we got, and the challenge is now to work up an action plan and deliver it.

I would like to see greater interaction between the town council and community groups and for the town council to be a catalyst for change.
